چکیده
Abstract New parameters such as ablation index (AI) have been developed to create reliable lesions. This study was performed evaluate whether RF energy delivery with the same creates similar lesion volume. Ablation lesions were created in 5 pig hearts at ex-vivo state. using an external-irrigation contact-force sensing catheter on epicardial side of left ventricle 90-degree angle. time adjusted for targeting AI 600 8 different conditions. Lesion volume 0–5 g contact force 20 W significantly lower than that 11–20 40W despite (125 ± 76.2 vs. 272 49.5 mm 3 , P < 0.05). Quality variable condition poor low power swine ventricle, and high-quality could be expected when impedance drop is satisfactory even though level applied during ablation.

Impedance During Radiofrequency Ablation of Ventricular Myocardium
The purpose of this study was to correlate changes in electrical impedance with the electrode-tissue interface temperature and to characterize the associated events occurring at the catheter tip electrode. In a canine model, lesions were created in vitro (n =49) and in vivo (n =31) and radiofrequency power settings were varied. Electrode-tissue interface temperature, delivered current, and volt...
متن کاملMyocardial lesion depth with circular electroporation ablation.
BACKGROUND Recently, we demonstrated the feasibility and safety of circular electroporation ablation in porcine pulmonary vein ostia, but the relationship between the magnitude of the application and lesion dimensions is still unknown. METHODS AND RESULTS An in vivo porcine study was performed on left ventricular epicardium submerged under 10 mm of blood, using devices that mimic a 20-mm-diam...
متن کاملcomparison of endovenous laser and radiofrequency ablation in treating varices in the same patient
introduction: to compare endovenous laser ablation (evla) and radiofrequency ablation (rfa) in different legs in the same individual in patients with venous insufficiency. methods: sixty patients with bilateral saphenous vein insufficiency were included. evla or rfa was applied to one of the patient’s legs and rfa or evla to the other leg. results: evla and rfa complications were hyperemia at 2...
متن کاملI-46: Radiofrequency Ablation of Uterine Fibroids
Uterine fibroids are benign solid tumors that are present in the majority of women. While often asymptomatic, fibroids can result in abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pressure, pain, subfertility, dyspareunia and other symptoms. Submucous and intramural fibroids are most associated with heavy menstrual bleeding; subserosal fibroids are more often innocuous unless sufficiently large so as to con...
متن کاملDrop metastasis from hepatocellular carcinoma after percutaneous radiofrequency ablation therapy
For treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a nonsurgical locoregional therapy, is frequently chosen as the first treatment modality because it is effective and less invasive, with preservation of the remnant hepatic parenchyma. Tumor implantation along needle tract or on other sites is a rare complication of RFA. We present a patient with HCC who developed a dro...
